Here are the photos I took at
Mickey's 50th Birthday. Ok, this is the one time in my life
that I was a "stalker". A few of us fans decided to head
over to the Disneyland Hotel where the Mouseketeers were staying
(70s and 50's Mice!) Someone knew their room numbers and we headed
up to see if they were there. Well, sure enough, we get to one of
the rooms and there is Mindy, jumping on the bed. Kelly was also
in the room and I remember the look on her face was like, "What
the you-know-what are you guys doing up here?" No smile. Just
this look I will never forget. I felt really bad and I knew that
I didn't want to be there. So I left. On my way down, I met Scott,
Angel and a few of the 50s Mice. They were very nice and I had them
sign my poster and then I went home.
A couple of other times I hung out at Harbor House, which was the
employee entrance to Disneyland. The Mouseketeers would come out
and sign autographs, etc. (Did I say I was a stalker only "one
time"in my life?) |

I took these pictures at the
Todd and Kelly Fan Club Picnic. I think this is just about when
I started to lose interest in the Mouseketeers. First of all, there
was the Mickey's 50th hotel incident. And then Todd brings a girl
with him to the fan club picnic and that just about broke my heart!
:-) Actually, I was getting ready to go into high school and had
other priorities to worry about. It just sort of became a thing
of the past; a part of my childhood.
But even to this day, I get butterflies when I'm near Space Mountain
and what used to be the Space Stage. And I still play (and even
enjoy) "Disco Mouse" every now
and then. I've spent lots of money on ebay for items in my collection,
and I participate in Joel's chats every now and then. So you can
say that I never lost interest completely. I just moved on with
life and the Mickey Mouse Club has become a nice warm memory I can
share with my kids and grandkids someday.

Okay, did I copy Kelly's hairstyle, or what?!Here's
Todd and "that girl" he brought to the picnic. Grr ;-) Also,
